Pawsitive's Canine Lifestyle Coaching is a very special training service for your dog that you will not find offered with any other residential training programme. Canine Lifestyle Coaching is a personalised residential training service where your dog comes to live in the home of trainer and behaviourist, Simone Day MSc, to be trained using kind, effective, reward based methods within a caring home environment.
This unique service offers your dog a level of attention, care and home comforts that larger residential training kennels simply cannot provide. With Canine Lifestyle Coaching your dog becomes one of our family during its training programme and is treated as an individual. Because of this individual approach, Canine Lifesyle Coaching is suitable for puppies, adolescents and adult dogs of any breed. Programmes are based upon your individual needs and requirements as an owner and tailored specifically to your dog's developmental stage, temperament and abilities.
London Based Training for London Dogs
Canine Lifestyle Coaching will help your dog learn all of the skills necessary to be a well mannered and integrated member of its home and wider community. We recognise that life in London places different and far greater expectations for good behaviour on a dog than rural life does and Canine Lifestyle Coaching caters specifically for this. It makes sense that your dog is trained within the environment in which it lives. Good manners within the home are difficult to teach within a kennel based environment and acclimatisation to busy city streets with heavy traffic and crowded pavements cannot be practiced at a rural training centre.
Pawsitive is based in beautiful Blackheath in Southeast London, so your dog is never far away or required to travel long distances to reach us. We only work with one or two dogs at a time to maintain individual attention and flexibility in the work we do with your dog. We have our own secure 130 foot garden where your dog can relax and play, with plenty of outdoor training space in the form of Blackheath and Greenwich Park, plus a variety of urban environments to practice developing the skills that urban dogs require in day to day city life.
A Holistic Approach with all the Comforts of Home
Appropriate behaviour within the home is cultivated within a real home environment throughout each and every day and our friendly resident dogs act as good role models for younger dogs, helping them to develop appropriate social skills. Your dog will never be kennelled or shut away on its own - in fact, there are no kennels here at all. Instead your dog will live in our home and sleep on a comfortable bed, it will have constant access to our garden, a variety of fun toys to play with, real bones to chew on, human and canine company and the highest quality hypoallergenic food at mealtimes.
At Pawsitive, we don't just train basic obedience commands to your dog. We take a more holistic approach and work towards developing a happy, well balanced dog that is comfortable with all aspects of city life - and that is what distinguishes Canine Lifestyle Coaching as a truly unique and exceptional service.
