One-to-One Dog Training

One-to-One Dog Training with Pawsitive is certainly our most popular service because it is tailored specifically to the needs of you and your dog, and is carried out in the comfort of your own home. Pawsitive offers One-to-One Dog Training in South East London and throughout the surrounding areas affording you flexibility, convenience and a level of service and expertise that is second to none.

Flexibility

An alternative to going to dog training classes is to have the trainer come to you. One-to-one training is carried out on an individual basis in the comfort of your own home. While classes are certainly the most cost effective way to learn how to train your dog, one-to-one sessions offer far greater flexibility, speed of progress, and lessons can be tailored specifically to your individual needs. Any or all of the exercises taught in the Dog School classes can be covered, as well as a wide range of others that may be appropriate for your specific circumstances.

One-to-one training sessions are available on both weekdays and weekends to suit your work schedule and commitments, you can do as many or as few sessions as you feel you need, at whatever frequency suits you. Ultimately, you will know when you are happy with the results you have achieved and Pawsitive will work to your remit to help you realise your training goals.

One-to-one dog training is not just for older dogs either - it is a perfect choice for young puppies that are not yet allowed to go out of the home before their vaccinations are complete. Hot puppy topics include housetraining, nipping and chewing, developing appropriate social skills as well as introducing basic commands such as sitting, lying down and becoming accustomed to a collar and lead. Once vaccinations are complete, training can progress to local parks, busy streets, places of work, etc.

Expertise

Pawsitive is run by Simone Day who is an experienced and qualified dog trainer and behaviour consultant with a Master's Degree in Companion Animal Behaviour Counselling. In addition to running the Dog School (see Training Classes), Simone has also seen clients privately for training and behaviour problems for over a decade.

Simone has built an excellent reputation as a dog trainer and behaviourist amongst both vets and dog owners alike, many of whom return to Simone when they acquire a second puppy or dog. Simone's approach is friendly, good humoured and professional, and if it relates to dogs you can ask her just about anything! In addition to her special interest in puppies, Simone also works with deaf dogs, owners with disabilities, and rescue organisations.

Simone's ability to impart her understanding of canine behaviour and training methodology, combined with years of practical experience teaching dogs and their owners, enables her to provide a level of service that is unparallelled.
